Rachel Brenner’s life is messed up. In Murder off the Books, Evelyn David has created a cast of amusing and entertaining characters, including Mac’s Irish wolfhound and doesn’t rely on Rachel investigating by herself as so many amateur sleuths do unrealistically. As bodies begin piling up everywhere that Rachel goes, Mac realizes he will have to work fast to keep her and her family safe.
