Tana French is one of my favorite authors, so it's no surprise that Faithful Place is still on my list as one of my highest rated books. This is the 3rd in the series of six Dublin Murder Squad novels which transition between main characters from book to book. This one focuses on Frank Mackey who was introduced in the the 2nd in the series, The Likeness.

Many years, ago Frank lost his true love, Rosie, when the pair planned to run away together, but she never showed. Everyone believes that she ran away too that night, but unlike Frank, she never returns home. Now a clue turns up in the attic of a home on Faithful Place, their childhood neighborhood, and Det. Mackey is determined to figure out what happened.

This entry in the series continues to weave together returning members from the Murder Squad by exposing their pasts and personal lives. French is a master at building suspense and creating twisting surprises for her readers with a Gothic touch.
